About Illinois Medical Group Management Association:

Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) is the oldest and largest membership organization for professionals in the field of medical practice management. Incorporated in 1984, Illinois Medical Group Management Association (ILMGMA) is an affiliate chapter of MGMA, the leading professional association representing medical group practice management.

Education - Through annual conferences, webinars, quarterly newsletters and email communications, ILMGMA strives to keep members informed of health care trends, issues and legislation in Illinois and nationwide. Our educational meetings are opportunities to network and exchange information among other members, as well as hear from nationally known speakers and business community leaders. Additionally, our conferences and webinars are a great place to earn certification and CEUs through ACMPE, the American College of Practice Executives. 

Networking - Interacting with other medical managers in our state who face similar responsibilities and challenges is one of the most important benefits of ILMGMA membership. A wide variety of specialists are represented in our membership, and each specialty has its own unique concerns. Our conferences and forum board located on our website (www.ilmgma.com) provide a great opportunity to share lessons learned from other healthcare professionals. 

Job Board -  ILMGMA has an online Job Board available for our members. Not only can ILMGMA members periodically review available positions from across our state but Active and Affiliate members can also post their open positions for free. Our job board gives your organization a free place on the web to post and advertise your open positions to our membership community. 

Statewide Salary Survey - The ILMGMA salary survey is an exceptional tool for practice managers to budget and manage their staff. There are several unique features included in our annual survey - Physician to staff ratios, Summary of employee benefits, Compensation for staff positions is broken down by state totals as well as geographic locations and Staff compensation stated as an hourly rate and can be used to calculate annualized salary (included is a mean and percentile ranking). 

Products and Services - Our affiliate members provide access to information, products, and services that support medical practices.
